Wow, well, who can’t say I haven’t had an eventful few months!  If it were not for my amazing family and friends I would be far beyond my wits end!

Also, thanks so much to my amazing clients and fans!  Nothing like being in business for 7 years and then the world and my body starts crumbling down.  I recently had someone tell me that my personal life shouldn’t affect my business life, as much as I would like that to be it hasn’t been.  Plus I really don’t see how that is possible, when I am in all reality the business.  If I’m sick or have a death in the family and I take a day off then, well, there is no one there to replace me, return phone calls, reply to emails etc…  So thanks everyone for being as patient as you have been as I have about 52 clients in one order phase or another and I’m trying my best to keep up with everyone.

So at the very least with this blog post I can only HOPE (fingers crossed) that all of my back issues have shown face and now I can just start to recover.  For those of you just hoping on here I was in the hospital about four weeks ago with four herniated discs in my neck.  That was by far the worst pain I’ve been in.. even worse than labor!  Then we suffered a very unexpected death in the family with the sudden passing on my eldest and beloved cousin Mike Jr. at only 38.  Then this past weekend happened… with a weekend full of events with the opening of the American Girl Store at Chesterfield Mall and plans of getting everything finally caught up and in order!  Well, friday I had a small pain in my low back.. nothing unusual I always get pains in my back.. However, but Saturday afternoon I was almost crippled.  I couldn’t stand up or sit up very well but I persisted though the day and actually slept at the studio as I was in way too much pain to drive anywhere.  Then Sunday came along and so did my second visit to Mercy Hospital for back pain in less than a month.  Only to find out that I herniated my s1-s5 and then a partial herniation of my 4-5.  How do you ask… I think its from when I played woman’s pro football years ago and with my weight gain from being pregnant and just bad eating habits have made these injuries not so happy and they are seeking revenge.   I did have what is considered a minor procedure time and they did some steroid injections into my low back.  Again big owwie, not fun at all.. but managed though it.  And despite some rather intense muscular and joint pain  I’m managing.. now I just have to ween myself off these drugs that make me oooh so sleepy!  Hence the 4am blog post..

So after another long stay (for me at least) at the hospital I’m once again out.. trying not to be too stressed out as I think of everything that needs to be done and realizing how few hours there are in a day.  Plus how slammed my next few weeks are.. at least my back went out during a slower time for work.. it was mighty nice of my back to do that. {hopefully you inserted some sarcasm there}

So I’m signing out.. just wanted to keep everyone posted on my crazy life!  At least I have such an amazing family and such a great client/fan base to help me laugh though out these past hard 7 months..

Total random side thought….. I just realized I celebrated my 7 years in business this April 7th  year and its been 7 hard months for me & my family in a row… I thought 7 7 7 was a good number set?  I guess not as I pass these evil 7′s and eagerly move onto the number 8!

Remember the amazing maternity session of this mommy & daddy!?  Well, baby Jase is finally here and I was there for well over 18 hours waiting for little man to make his entrance!  I am so impressed with Mommy, she worked and tried so hard for little man to come without surgery.  However, after THREE days of labor and over FIVE hours.. yes FIVE hours of hard pushing little man didn’t want to come the way his mom dreamed..  However, super exhausted mommy and daddy and grandma finally have this precious little bundle to love on!

I can’t be more excited about this session!  I meet this Mama and Daddy to be when they were planning their wedding back in 2008!  So when they finally called me with the exciting news that there is going to be a Baby Ontis and Abby quickly informed me that I was going to be there for it all.  So what seemed like forever it was finally time to have them come in for Maternity Photos!   It was such a pleasure and Abby is so freaking beautiful and I know her hubby Kirby agrees!  Now I can’t wait to photograph little mans Birth… Love you guys!

Oh, and Mama is showing off my amazing maternity gowns I have in the studio!!

I’ve been wanting to make this set happen for a few years.  Well, finally we have everything together and the uniforms have all been handmade by my mother.  Do you like baseball?  Are you a Cardinals fan?  Well, we have the perfect set up for your child to have their photo taken showing there love of baseball.   Designed after the beloved baseball movie Field of Dreams and by using patterns for baseball uniforms form the 1980′s we have this beautiful set! We are currently booking sessions April 13th – April 30th 2012.  These sessions are held in our studio, we’re located in Chesterfield Mall.

These sessions last 15-20 minutes and within 48 hours of the session you will be emailed a link and passcode to view your images.  Approximately 8-12 images will be provided for you to view and order from.   These images will be unedited online allowing us to have a quick turn around but your ordered images will have all editing done (skin smooth, scratches/blemishes removed, teeth brightened and eyes brightened..etc).

What to Wear?  This has to be one of the most popular questions asked!  We have uniforms in the studio provided at no extra charge from newborn to size 14.  Babies have diaper covers and we have skirts with baseball shirts for the girls and pants with baseball shirts for the boys.  Want to bring in your own outfit?  No problem!  However, please keep in mind we only have time for one outfit.

Our Packages are as follows and at any time your more than welcome to upgrade to different package.  Just let us know!

Package 1 ~ $45 — Includes Session and 1-5×7 print

Package 2 ~ $85 — Includes Session and 1-8×10 print, 2-5×7  prints and a set of 8 wallets

Package 3 ~ $175 — Includes Session and digital Disc of the edited images with copyright release

Oh how I love Mr. Andrews!!  The sweetest little guy ever and completely didn’t want to sleep during his pictures!  However, we got some really great shots of the little man!  And eventually he fell asleep and we got some sleepy pictures!  I just love newborn photography!!!

This shoot was a treat!  I can’t say I’ve EVER been called to have pictures taken by a guy.  However, Andrew sure did give me a ring and set up a session with his sister so they could get pictures for there mom.  He also brought his other better half his fiance.  So made sure we got some pictures of them also!  If there are any guys reading this.. MOMS love pictures of there kids!  Super bonus points for Andrew & his sister!

Who dosen’t love a beautiful bump!  Mama is a very beautiful woman and she is just stunning in all of her photos.. something every one of us woman wish we could look half as good as her during our pregnancy!  :)   We did these photos in Forest Park and at the studio in Chesterfield Mall.
