Today is the Birth Day of Boy Scouts!  I remember when I was younger always wanting to be in the Boy Scouts – strange I know.  But I was very envious of my brother and all of the really awesome activities he got to do and camping trips he went on.  So I actually discovered the Explore Scouts when I was in High School.  And we went on some really neat trips

I was so excited when Jenn contacted me to shoot her wedding.. I photographed her sisters wedding almost 5 years ago.  And I was so honored to be apart of Jenn and Josh’s wedding.

The day couldn’t of been anymore beautiful.. we went to Bee Tree Park for there photos and had to contend with a mass of high school seniors getting photos taken for prom.  But by far Josh had the best date ever for the day, his beautiful bride Jenn.  Thanks guys for letting me be there to capture your wedding day and be apart of such an amazing day..

A little while back Mr C came in for his 6 month pictures!  He is the cutest little chunk ever!  I love this age where its just before the start crawling everywhere and eventually walking.. the little guys are just so chunky at this age and I just love it!  I can’t wait to see him again in a few months!!!  Mr. C Just loved working with the car and trying to fix its wheel.. so cute!!

Were having our first ever Model Search for 3 lucky kids to be our promotional models of 2012.  If your a fan on facebook you would of seen this a few days ago, as of today we already have 30 way adorable applicants.  However, its not too late for your child to be entered in our Model Search Contest. Were looking for children ages 13 and under to participate in our 2012 Limited Edition Series Promotional Sessions.

So how does this work??  Just follow the steps bellow!!

1. Have a child under the age of 13 & take a recent photo of said child

2. Fill out the Application {Click Here} and be sure to upload a photo

3. Have your Application in By Midnight Saturday January 14th

4. Starting Noon Sunday January 15th I will have an Album on Facebook with all the models for our fans to “like” and vote for these cute kiddos..

5. Friday January 20th at midnight all voteing ends and the 3 kids/photos with the most “likes” comments do not count will win.

Well, I do about 12 sets a year that are specialized for a holiday, theme or just an amazing idea that I came up with.  And well, its hard to promote a photography set without photos!  And I love my kiddo and all but its nice to work with other kids for our sets also!  So the big thing we need from our models is at least 6 commitments to any sets being photographed for the year.  I will email the winners all the information after they win!  Now, these are unpaid modeling positions — what your getting is a session and a print of my favorite image for free.

A while back a good friend of mine, Celeste, who is also a photographer asked me to photograph her family.  I totally love photographing (most) photographers with their families.  This is one family that I loved photographing!  This session wasn’t about the perfect photo with the perfect smile on everyones faces it was about capturing who her kids are now –  Crooked Smiles, A Dinosaur, A Dog, A crazy Dance — whatever they feel like doing.  I love love it when families let there kids be who they are and who cares if its not the idea of perfect… but it captures there family perfectly.  Plus you can’t help but smile.. Love you Celeste can’t wait till your back in town so we can go on a adventure.. Wow, its so hard to believe that 2011 is history!  So goodbye 2011 and welcome 2012!  Did you do anything exciting to ring in the New Year?  We had a very low key event!  Consisting of movies, sleeping baby and a sofa full of dogs!  My mother got to ring in the new year in Paris… lucky gal!  I can’t wait to see her pictures and here her stories of her Christmas Break Vacation.

I look forward to what I have to expect in this New Year, this year of 2012!  Most importantly the studio doors are getting covered up and like most people want for there bodies.. the studio is getting a Makeover – Facelift – Extra Baggage Removed!  So starting around Noon after a meeting on Monday our doors are getting closed for a week, I’ll post before and progress photos as we go.  I’m so excited for the change and I can’t wait to finally have a studio that looks together.. Step one to a much more peaceful work life..

So where do I start with this lovely couple?  Well, since meeting Brandi I have grown to love her and her family.  Brandi started out as a bride at a Bridal Show but before she left my booth at the Bridal Show her and her mother helped me find purpose. {Click Here} to read more about our amazing friendship.

This love, this relationship isn’t like any other relationship I’ve ever witnessed… it’s far far more amazing.  I don’t know all of the specific’s of Brian and Brandi’s love story.  What I do know is that Brandi has an amazing groom to be!  I really don’t know him too well and the few times we have met he’s a man of few words.  At least when his soon to be wife and mother in law are in the room chatting it up.  He just sits back and looks at Brandi with just so much true love and devotion, it just amazes me.  Not that he’s in love with Brandi but that he has a very sick bride to be.  So sick that she’s in desperate need of a transplant but isn’t able to get one because the meds to help her after the transplant will kill her.

Brain to me is the most selfless, kind, loyal and loving person I know.  Not only does his soon to be mother in law rave about him but he’s marrying into a life most people don’t even have to think about when they first get married.  But instead of running away when he finds out this girls he’s interested in has a very serious medical condition he stays and falls deeply in love with her.  I can’t wait till there wedding, I’m sure this wedding will use up the most tissues in record.  I know I’m brining a box or two of tissues.

Ever since I opened my studio three years ago and started shooting holiday sessions I’ve photographed these two adorable girls.  It’s amazing how much they have grown up in just a year and they still give me a run around in the studio.  I think I’ve finally convinced Mom to just go get a massage while we do the session next year and I did have to fire her once or twice!  But we got some great images even with two girls going two separate ways on the set and neither wanting to do what we wanted… but luckily we have a plethora of props and they had fun getting in trouble together for some great photos.  See you guys next year
