Meet Rhonda

I’m a self-taught photographer and I’ve had the honor of photographing hundreds of families all across Saint Louis, Missouri for more than seven years now. I started off as strictly a wedding photographer but with the birth of my daughter in 2010 I quickly found a passion with capturing children and families.  Along with my new found passion my schedule quickly started booking full of birth and baby photography and as of February 2011 I decided to no longer provide wedding photography services.

Before we meet, you might like to know that:

• I have an amazing daughter who has changed my life since her birth March 23, 2010  and just as an amazing husband who is a full time student and tries to keep me in line. 
• My husband makes the best cinnamon pancakes and if it were not for him I would live off QT long john donuts and whatever spare scraps of my dinner my daughter doesn’t eat.
• I also have three small dog children and two ferret children, all three dogs are Chihuahuas and the eldest is Chica; the mean one, Axl Rose is our middle super loving dog child and our baby Lacie who is the craziest looking dog you will ever see.  The two ferret children are recent additions to our family as of spring 2012 and have to be the most entertaining two little balls of energy ever.  My daughter named our first little guy Baby who ended up having a heart condition and Izabel takes great care of her “Baby.”  The way she carries him around is priceless!  Our second little ferret is Slash, named by my husband.  :) And he is a crazy (both the ferret and the husband) and I love waking up in the morning to my daughters giggles as they chase each other around.
• Everyone is a “hun” to me, don’t be surprised if I end a call with “okay thanks hun.”
• I’m desperately trying to become a technical savvy person with my schedule and bookkeeping.  However, I have a sickness and I enjoy shifting though paperwork.  Plus there is just something about seeing my schedule written out vs on a computer screen.
• I’m a night owl in training to be one of those early risers, who knew the sun was up before 11am!
• I may seem scatter-brained at times, but that’s only because there are too many ideas bouncing around in my head.
• As of Spring 2012 I’m on a health kick, with several unplanned week long visits in the hospital under my belt in under only a few months for my back.  I’ve decided enough is enough and its time.. so no matter how much I kick and scream don’t share that candy your bribing your kid withI will warn you I do give an awesome puppy face 
• I will most likely hug you when I see you.
• I get emotionally tied to every session. I have to. I couldn’t do this otherwise, as I’m an emotional person.  Animal Planet has been banned from our TV because within minutes my husband finds me curled up in tears on the sofa because I become emotionally attached too quickly.
• I’m a kid at heart.  But I can be that responsible adult when necessary.

About the REAL BOSS.. Izabel

• My Boss and VERY impatient
• She will decided at a moments notice that her mom dosen’t need to be on the phone and try to take it away, or answer the phone herself.
• Likes everything in its own place.. unless its her stuff or something of her moms that she thinks is hers.
• Has VERY unrealistic expectations that should of been meet like yesterday
• She never lets me take a sick day or a vacation day and makes me work crazy long hours, even makes me get up at 6am!!!  
• She’s hard to read (and understand) sometimes and gives a killer stink eye.  (I think she might be working on mind control) 
• She pays in kisses and hugs.. be ready for one when you visit us at the studio 
• She also works magic with the younger kids and likes to show them how to pose for pictures, however, she is not so great for mommy when its her turn.
